Sharing DNS access

If you own a domain, sometimes you need to share access with controlling that domain to people who are helping configure your website, email or other web services.

Every domain register and nameserver control panel is different and they often change. They also tend to have notoriously poor user-experience I’d say.

Namecheap

NB: Not a great name, but a less-bad option in this realm.

  1. Login the control panel: ap.www.namecheap.com/domains

  2. Find the domain you want to share > “Manage” (button) > “Sharing & Transfer” (tab)

  3. Add a “New Manager
NB: use wesort or ben@wesort.co.uk if you’re doing this for me.

  4. They’ll get an email to “Accept” the access.
