Friends of We Sort
The arrangement
We Sort keeps a small, vetted network of independent consultants — "Friends" — who are themselves small-business owners, and introduces them to We Sort clients for project, ad hoc or ongoing non-BAU work where their expertise or taste fits the need better than Ben or Lucy. Fluid, low-commitment, a few hours across a week or month. We Sort vouches, matches, holds the client relationship, and adds 20%.
For a potential Friend
Work that fits — matched to your real expertise and taste, not random leads. Pre-qualified, properly briefed clients we already understand.
No selling, no client-wrangling — we handle the intro, the scoping, the relationship and the billing. You do the work and invoice us.
Fits around your own business — take what suits; no obligation, no staff, no overhead.
You keep your rate — the 20% sits on top, paid by the client for the vetting and matching, not skimmed from your fee.
Being a Friend is itself a credential — we vouch that you can help others run their businesses, not just run your own (the E-Myth bar).
It runs both ways — you're welcome as a client too; lean on Ben or Lucy for your own business when it helps.
For a client
The right specialist for a specific need, on demand — without recruiting, hiring or managing anyone.
Vetted and vouched-for — we know them and we know you, so it's a warm, de-risked match, not a gamble on an unknown freelancer.
Right-sized — a few hours, a project, or ongoing; scales to the need and scales back when it's done.
Space and expertise for the non-BAU — the important-but-not-urgent work that otherwise never gets done.
A peer, not a suit — someone who runs a small business themselves and gets the realities.
We stay lightly in the loop, so the work fits the bigger picture we already hold about your business. You don't start from scratch.
What We Sort gets (the honest bit)
Margin revenue that doesn't eat Ben or Lucy's delivery hours.
The ability to say "yes" to needs outside our wheelhouse — deeper, stickier client relationships.
A widening network of trusted people who are also potential clients.
Reputation as the place small creative businesses come to get sorted — by us, or by someone we trust.
