Darren Wall

Darren Wall is an art director, graphic designer and publisher known for his work with books. Darren founded Read-Only Memory, a publishing company dedicated to creating beautiful art books on the history of video games. And more recently Volume, a publishing platform for high-quality illustrated books in partnership with Thames & Hudson.

Darren wanted a traditional portfolio site to highlight his successful body of work to replace a carousel holding page. The project was completed over an extended period of time of a few years while numerous prototypes were trialled. This steady process allowed the content and typography to remain the focus. The site is built responsively on the Statamic CMS and is typeset in Klim’s Calibre.
