London Community Video Archive

The LCVA is a collection of films, interviews and supporting materials primarily from 1969-1994.

I joined the project in late 2024 as the existing website had become stagnant and updating it was no longer possible. The team had secured Heritage Lottery funding to create a new site alongside further work adding to the archive and a programme of events to spread the exposure.

This site launched on 30 April 2025.

The broad aims of the web project were:

• To create a easily updatable site

• For the site to be accessible in terms of access, reach and usability

• For backups and mitigations to be made to ensure the site was alive in perpetuity

• To improve the consistency of design and content
